Beatably Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 8, 2026

Beatably is a multiplayer music timeline game. We designed it to collect as little information as possible. This policy explains what data the Beatably app and website handle, and why.

What we collect

We do not collect your email, phone number, location, contacts, or any real-world identity, and we do not require you to create an account. None of the information above is linked to your real-world identity or used to track you across other apps or websites.

How we use it

The information above is used to run multiplayer games (matching players into rooms, keeping game state in sync, and reconnecting you after a dropped connection), to understand how the game is played so we can improve it, and to diagnose and fix problems. Your display name and game data are sent to the Beatably game server for these purposes.

What we do not do

Data retention

Live game state is temporary and is discarded after a game ends. The session ID stored on your device is removed when you leave a game or can be cleared by deleting the app. Gameplay, usage, and diagnostic logs are retained only as long as needed to operate and improve the game, and are not linked to your identity.

Children

Beatably is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
